Fraternity Housing
by: MizouSigma Phi Epsilon, Farmhouse, and Kappa Sigma are beginning their re-incarnations at Mizzou. Fiji is leasing from Farmhouse, Pi Kappa Phi from Kappa Sig, and Deke from SigEp. The DeltSig house is empty at the moment and there are conflicting reports as to who's gonna be in Lambda's house - TKE or Theta Chi. And eventually SigChi and SAE will re-colonize and re-incarnate. There are going to be several frats displaced, so where are they going? The sign boasting a new Fiji house construction has been taken down and there's no indication of anything new for them but rumors that there's no new house coming. This must make recruitment for these houses rough and enhance recruitment for the houses that own their properties. So where is Greek Life for Men at Mizzou heading?

Continued prestige and growth for Beta, DU, SigmaNU, ATO, PhiDelt, PhiPsi, Pike. (These houses will thrive if they apply standards.) Treading water for Fiji and DeltaChi. Improvement for KappaSig and KA. Mediocrity for Delt, SigEp, AgRho, etc. It's going to be an increasing struggle for houses that don't own property and are dependent on short-term leasing.

1. FH has sold their property on Kentucky & will be rebuilding a new 45 man house on Rollins.
2. Sig Ep will be back soon, DKE's will be homeless, likely fading away. If you don't own a house you don't count.
3. Pi Kapps purchased Kappa Sig's house on Stewart, the new Kappa Sig House is a Suite within Memorial Stadium, RIP.
4. TKE will be homeless again, as usual, Phi Kapp's back soon, as usual.
5. Delta Sigs waiting out, no need for a renter, they own.
6. SAE's back in next year or so, Sig Chi in a few years.
7. Doesn't matter, it will only be short term.

There has been a revolving door of fraternities at Mizzou. Some with no history are trying to establish themselves and some with a rich history are starting at square one because they messed up big time. Until Mizzou fraternities figure out the rules actually apply to them, the revolving door will keep spinning. Any fraternity that gets kicked off campus has alienated its alums and good luck getting their support back. If I were going through recruitment again, I would consider ONLY the houses that are well-established and haven't been kicked off. The rest are just here to take your money without providing anything in return.
