How are frats getting guys to pledge?
by: But for realSororities has figured out ways and planned things to get our babies involved the best they can in this time and feel connected to their sisterhood, but like I don’t know how frats are doing things? Pledging is already not a very exciting thing to do and with most in person social events being canceled and no parties. What incentivizes a freshman or sophomore guy to join pay a over a grand in dues to be hazed?? If you guys are doing things for them I’m curious, because I cannot see a frat boy hopping on zoom for brotherhood stuff.. I can hardly picture you guys doing chapter over zoom for that matter.

Not in my chapter. Our freshman are the most spoiled and well treated class in the house lol

We may get exasperated when our freshmen (women?) act like freshman but, no, we don't make fun of our new members. And we certainly don't base our entire culture on humiliating them, the way most fraternities do.

Can't see a frat boy hopping on zoom for brotherhood stuff? Can hardly picture guys doing chapter over zoom? Your vision can be improved! It's easy. Just open your eyes. Fraternity guys do hop on zoom for brotherhood stuff and do chapter over zoom as well. There are some fraternity chapters on this campus that are decent and reputable.

And that's what attracts losers to fraternities. I prefer an organization where I am treated with respect.

It doesn’t mean people get hazed when they don’t tell chicks about it. Almost all pledges aren’t allowed to talk about or else they get dropped even if it’s hazing or not

From what I’ve heard numbers are down a lot of places. Of course the top 3-4 houses are getting the same numbers but mid tier houses seem to be the ones with lower numbers. Lots of houses that usually take 30-40 are in the 20’s. Assuming many people will rush in spring.

@Good Question: Upperclasswomen don't make fun of underclasswomen in sororities? C'mon! Hazing traditionally occurred - and still occurs - in women's greek houses. Not as physically dangerous as in men's organizations, ok. But still degrading and humiliating to personhood.
