Advice for COB/Stories About It?
by: pnmAnyone have any tips for COB? I have an event soon and I’m very nervous about it. It’s for a house I really like and would really like to be a part of.

Virtual or in person? Ask a lot of questions around the dorm and find out as much as you can. I would really have reservations about a house that is COBing so quickly. It makes me think they didn't make quota or that they lost a lot of members and are desperate to boost their numbers.

Be yourself! Tons of houses will be COBing this year because formal recruitment numbers were so low, so know that this is not your only shot to go Greek. The best thing you can do is seem relaxed while expressing to the house that you are super interested in them. Enthusiasm is always a big plus! Houses want to know that you want them, not just that you want to be in PHA! If you had a good experience with this house during formal recruitment, bring that up.

I wouldn't bring anything up about formal recruitment or your experience at that house. If they cut you once, they can cut you again.

I think it depends on how you word things. If I’m talking to a girl I learn fame to us during pref when recruitment was happening that’s a pretty big sign to me she’d be a great fit in the house but just was unlucky. I think having the confidence to talk about an experience you fell short in but showing your openness to try again truly speaks a lot on your character and the type of heart and determination you could offer a sisterhood

I know kappa is which is honestly baffling. Virtual recruitment must’ve been very rough for them.
