Lmao yes this happened to me. Most are trained well and want you to choose on your own but some sway you into the direction they want you to go in

This absolutely is not true. If anything, PiChis are excellent about giving general advice (what happens if you suicide, what if you're a legacy, I think I want to quit, etc.) but absolutely stay away from making recommendations about a specific house. I was a PiChi last year. Dirty rushing is NOT part of what they do.

No pi chi’s don’t do that. They genuinely believe in the process and want their PNMs to make a choice that’s 100% them. I actually had a conversation with my pi chi post recruitment. So we had connected super well during rush and I constantly talked to her and got and got advice & she just really liked me. So when she found out I was going to her house on pref day she said she was so excited at the time but knew she just support me making my own choice so approached it with me from the unbiased view. Surely enough the sorority for me ended up not being hers. To be honest though, I was fairly on the border and if I knew I would have had a sisterhood with my pi chi I could totally see that influencing my choice. It’s really important pi chi’s don’t dirty rush because they get to know PNMs more intimately tbh

Pi Chi’s do not openly dirty rush. End of story. However as a former Pi Chi it is HARD to keep conversation with the girls 100% neutral. Most girls could guess with some accuracy what sorority their Pi Chi was in by the end of rush.

I was a PiChi two years ago and this does not happen. If it did, other PiChis would rat the offending party out and they would be replaced. I also found it funny what houses the PNMs thought I was in. NO ONE got it right. I'm in a house I love and where I was a legacy. The PNMs kept guessing I was a Theta, PiPhi or ChiO. They were way off. Flattering, sure. But way off! I guess it goes to show that stereotypes aren't always accurate.
