Rushing grades good enough?

I am going to be a freshman rushing. My GPA unweighted is a 3.7. Is that good?

That will get you through grade cuts at most houses, so there's no need to worry. The better houses also will want to see your weighted GPA, lots of AP classes, leadership and activities and recs.

Did you attend a competitive public school or a St. Louis private school that hands out A's like candy at Halloween. There are many schools where GPA doesn't mean much. That's why we rely on ACT scores.

I am reminded of the PNM from Villa who joined our house two years ago. She had almost a 4.0, and yet she didn't make grades no matter how much help our scholarship chair arranged for her. We looked back at her info and for some reason she didn't have her ACT score. We later found out why. It was a 23!!!! She eventually flunked out. We learned our lesson.
