PSA to PNMs for this year
by: studentI’ve noticed a ton of negativity on here from PNMS who didn’t get bids from certain fraternize/sororities. Here’s some advice from a Mizzou student who had gone through rush. Don’t take it personally if you are rejected from a certain fraternity/sorority. Also, you’re not entitled to a bid just because you rushed or are a legacy of a specific house. There are many reasons why people get dropped from houses, but the main one is because they have limited space. You can always COB in the spring if you want to try rushing again. A lot of people weren’t aware of this and thought their life was over when they didn’t get into their chose fraternity or sorority.

You've noticed a ton of negativity on this site? WTF are you talking about. This site is dead. No one is ever on here. And the main reason people are dropped is not limited space. It's that the PNMs don't meet a sorority's requirements or expectations. As for COBing, it is a deeply flawed system and inherently discriminatory. You can sign up and never, ever get asked to an event. The only people who have had a successful COB experience are those who already have friends in a house. It is the LAST way I would join a house.
