congrats to piphi

PiPhi held a day of service today and gave out 20,000 books completely free to schools, libraries, nonprofits and other programs in the mid-Missouri region to help increase childhood literacy. Over 150 people representing organizations from across the state showed up to collect books as the service day tried to reach more rural and economically disadvantaged communities. The Mizzou Greek community should be proud of the PiPhis and the positive image and publicity they have brought to our Greek life. (And NO, I am not a PiPhi and am honestly a DU.)

So proud to be part of a greek community that does so much to help others. We all deserve credit for our philanthropies. Way to go PiPhi!

To me, working for a cause is one of the best parts of being in a sorority. Happy to hear PiPhi's event was such a success.

Good going, PiPhi! This is awesome news! I really wish that fraternities and sororities were known and acclaimed for their various philanthropies in stead of too often known for boozing, partying, petty jealousies and rivalries, and hazing.

I agree with you Mangreek; but if you think about it, sensationalism and lowlife crap does get more headlines than positive acts. Look at the Kardashian/Jenners for example. It's pretty pathetic. Is there anything we can do to change it?
