is this true?
by: Rumor?I heard a rumor that some new members aren't allowed to wear their full set of letters until they're initiated, is this true? I haven't seen any Theta pledges that I know in full letters, they only wear things that say 'Theta' on them. Same with Pi Phi pledges, they have the Pi and the Phi but never the Beta. Again, just wondering if it's true because my chapter doesn't do that and it just seems weird.

If that's hazing, you really don't belong in the Greek system. No one likes true hazing, and simply upholding the traditions of some of the best sororities in the nation is about as far from hazing as you can get. Who is hurt by this? Who is insulted? For whom does it do irreparable harm? Might be time to find out what hazing really is.

I guess it just seems weird to me because the sorority I just pledged doesn't have that rule. Weird wasn't the right word, different would've worked better. Thanks for answering! Are Pi Phi and Theta the only ones who do that though?
