by: Super!!!!Another recruitment has come and gone. Delta and GPhi wound up with attractive new members and just the kind of girls you would expect. Theta, PiPhi and ChiO worked hard once again and almost effortlessly recruited some of the most outstanding girls who will make their chapters strong AND smart. Kappa and ADPi had great recruitments and, once again, proved that they are top tier or darn close to it. Alpha Phi and AXO proved why they are firmly mid-tier and chose excellent and diverse new members that they can be proud of. KD, Sigma and Zeta stepped up and put on an excellent rush, getting girls they can be proud of. In fact no one had a bad rush. But stereotypes linger and it seems several houses worked hard to snap out of the same mold. I commend DG for holding their heads high and putting on such a great rush. I commend Zeta and Phi Mu for, at least so far, retaining more girls than ever. I comment SK for making Greektown proud with a strong rush and I commend Chi O and PiPhi, who seem to get whoever they want, for asking more interesting questions of PNMs and really digging a little deeper to find substance in the beautiful girls they chose. In short, I think every house stepped up and Mizzou continues to have a sorority system that is the envy of big campuses across the nation.

Thank you Pi Phi or Chi Omega for your self-promoting public service announcement. BTW - your comment is completely inaccurate as at least 8 of my friends (from High School & my dorm) CUT ChiO & Pi Phi or preffed them 3rd - - after a wide variety of houses including everything from Delta to DG to GPhi to Alpha Phi (YES, some girls who WERE NOT even legacies, liked Alpha Phi more than Chi O & Pi Phi!) ChiO & Pi Phi do not get "whomever they want." Newsflash - NO house does. That's why it's a MUTUAL selection process, remember? Also, the creepy angels in clouds/heaven at Pi Phi on 3 party day was not a hit. That's when two girls in my group & I definitely decided to put them last!

I see the ChiO and PiPhi haters are out tonight with a selfish and petty reaction to an overall accurate post. I agree that Greek Life at Mizzou just keeps getting better and that we are, indeed, the envy of campuses all around the nation. I really don't understand why some women can't accept the fact that as every house gets better, the whole Greek system benefits. And why in the world would someone take time to denigrate other houses if they were 100% satisfied with their own? That just defies logic.

The fact that that "how obvious" thinks that rush is a mutual selection process shows just how clueless you are. Just wait until you are on the other side of rush. You will see the power that the individual (and best) sororities have in the process and you will be aware of just how naive you are.
