we need to do better

To be totally honest, it doesn’t matter who’s the top house or which fraternity throws the best tailgates or which sorority has the prettiest girls. Literally, none of that matters. Members of our broad national Greek community have lost their lives; and while we’re all going home to our families soon for Thanksgiving, they're not going home to theirs. Our Greek communities need to change. We need to support each other and take care of each other, not argue over who’s better than who. It’s toxic & one of the reasons that we end up with bad press and public animosity. People are upset over social events being monitored and increased administrative oversight, but we may not even have a Greek Life in the future if we don’t start doing better soon. Every fraternity and sorority chapter is filled with amazing people who are all very passionate about each other and their philanthropies. The connections, impact, and memories we make are 100x more important and memorable than our rankings.
