How come you say Phi Mu and KD had the weakest pledge classes? The girls I saw in Phi Mu were definitely of a better quality overall than the girls I saw in Sigma, and probably SK (though I didn't see as many of them). My cousin goes to Georgia, and Phi Mu is considered one of the very top houses there, for what it is worth. I think they can eventually outgrow the name issue.
With SK, I think there is still the whole randomness factor going on. Hopefully, unlike Sigma, they won't let the really mean girls take over.

I think what most people are saying that sigma did better because even though they didn't make quota, they had better looking girls that the 88 that joined Sk. Ranks are all about looks people! (Not really buy we don't know anything about everyone's pc to base it off anything else this far) haha

Didn't meet quota, but they weren't off by that much. 75 girls this year vs. 50-something last year.

Maybe Sigma is trying to recruit only hot girls or something but the fact is they cannot afford to not get a full PC every time around. Once these new girls realize that Sigma is bottom tier, doesn't compete well and isn't like by fraternities they'll start dropping like flies. It happens to Zeta every year. They recruit really well and then girls end up not liking it so they drop out and Zeta is back in the bottom tier. Phi Mu and KD might have gotten a rough PC but at least those girls are going to stick around. Neither of those houses have retention issues and that's why KD is middle tier and why Phi Mu is the most stable of the bottom tier houses. Both know what they want in PNMs and they get it every year without fail. Sigma isn't going to keep these cute girls for long once they realize they could've COB'd a better house. And then the hot pledge class is gone and they're one step closer to getting kicked off campus by their nationals.

Phi Mu has had retention issues since... well... forever. They've been on campus over a decade and have the same amount of members as the 2 newer chapters. Hate to say it, but that is NOT stable. And girls have already dropped Phi Mu.

KD has also had retention issues since --- forever. Until 2 years ago when KD took ANYONE who wanted to be greek COB'ing the entire year just to bump their numbers. The girls were god-awful. So basically - KD has decent numbers but bad overall girls. They will always be bottom tier and so will Phi Mu. The stigmas attached to those 2 chapters are too much to overcome.

The 2 newer houses which have had only had 4 or 5 plege classes (sigma) and one pledge class (sk) - both are just fine no matter what this site says. Sigma was low last year in quota, but that was the only year since they colonized. Someone likes to act they're always under quota. That is not true. This year they have a strong pc and the year before last they did too. SK had a strong colony right from the start and had more members than Sigma or Phi Mu last year. This year they did fairly well for their first recruitment. Both are more appealing than either KD or Phi Mu IMO.

As for Zeta, they've done well and whenever they do well KD or AXO (I'm guessing) go on and on about their grades or retention issues. It's the only arguement they can come up with to try to keep the spot they think they deserve and push Zeta down rather than accept Zeta is better.

Kd doesn't care about looks, they never have. They are in bottom three in looks but still probably have the girls they want - hardworking, nice, boring
