attention legacies

It doesn't matter that you're a legacy. We are now the 6th generation of women who have joined, or are joining, sororities. With a rich Greek history on this campus, more than half of the women going through rush are a legacy to at least one house. (I, actually, was a legacy to four houses if you count my sisters, my mother, her mother and grandmother on the other side.) So let me say this again. IT DOESN'T MATTER. All you are owned is an invite to the second round. And that's it. It has been said many times on this site (can you read????) that many established sororities on this campus could fill an entire pledge class just with legacies, and they would never do that. My house aims to have less than 20% legacies, and we LOVE stealing other houses' legacies. So do your best, have fun, and don't me too impressed with yourself because you are a legacy, because we are just as likely to cut you as anyone else. And why would you insist on joining a legacy house, anyway? I can guarantee that people will say they "took you because they had to," and that's a real insult.
