the delt facade
by: DeltGradI'm a Delt who graduated today. I'm not a quitter at anything or I'd have been long-gone from the chapter at Mizzou. What most of you see from the outside is not really reflective of what it's like on the inside. As a chapter, we've been good at building a facade to hide numerous weaknesses on the inside. Yes, great grades but a weak brotherhood, internal strife, and concealed hazing and rule violations. Alums have been damned creative and good at covering for us with the University (probably took lessons from the Beta alums). I definitely don't see the new house as a remedy for what the chapter is really like.

Are you for real? I actually think you might be (hope you are anyway)because I've gotten a feeling before that all was not that harmonious among the Delts and that we are seeing an act. And if you really are a Delt grad and new alum, thanks for having the balz to speak what you feel.

No one thinks you present a "picture of excellence," so get over yourself. Delts are pretty much like every other house on this campus, full of boastful bro's who are pretty content with mediocrity. I can't believe that a university with a sorority system that is second to none has such a pathetic frat scene.
