tri sigma
by: ..I have no problem with any of the Trisigma girls I've met. But I'm not the only one who thinks bringing Trisigma to Mizzou was a mistake, right? They have weak nationals, and little to no national presence. Then you look at SK who, while still bottom because they have yet to fully prove themselves, came in with a game plan and worked hard and really exceeded everyone's expectations. If SK could do it why couldn't Trisigma? Because Trisigma's nationals had no idea what they were doing. AGD/AOPi/AXiD/DZ would all be great assets to Mizzou Greek life, and from what I've heard they're all very interested. Why did we pick Trisigma when there are several other larger, stronger, wealthier sororities who would love to colonize here? This is a serious question, I just don't understand. Trisigma was doomed to fail from the start.

Here is the thing, Sigma is out of the element. They have struggled and their weak nationals have been unable to help them recover. I think they will continue to stay on this campus unless they completely blow this recruitment. My biggest issue with them is that they can't fill their house and are hemorrhaging money because they can't fill their chapter house. If they can't fill that house, then they may as well be signing their own chapter's death certificate.
Moving forward, I would not be surprised for PHA and OGL to bring colonies of DZ, AOPi, AGD onto campus within the next 5 years. Honestly, I would just bring them on this campus to lower the amount of women accepted through recruitment. The fact that chapters have to have almost 100 women in their pledge class is crazy! How can you build a real sisterhood when you don't know everyone in your chapter through and through. I feel like I know everyone in my PC, but did I really know the upperclassman or even the sophomores that well when I went through rush. Now as an upperclassman, I see people wearing my letters who I don't know and that bothers me.

I don't want Sigma to fail. But it will be hard to bring a new chapter on campus when a few chapters consistently fail to make quota.
Honestly, if every chapter MADE quota there would still be room for another chapter or two at Mizzou.
I mean, this year, if every chapter makes quota (and no one drops rush- which won't happen, but still), pledge classes would be 120.
I, personally, would LOVE to see AGD and AOPi back on campus (they have both been here in the past).
I think someone needs to buy Richmond place and tear it down and build a new house.

If some org with big nationals (DZ, etc.) comes in, they might be able to afford Richmond place.
Again, I want Sigma to do well. there is MORE than enough interest in Greek Life for all 15 chapters to make quota.
I want Sigma to succeed and STILL bring on a new chapter in a few years.

What's PHA membership quota? And DZ we trying to make a colony here at Mizzou last year and so was AOPi.... both of those ended up a complete wreck and most girls who wanted to be a part them quit and or did COB. AGD is probably the best choice if they were to show interest. I really hope Sigma makes their numbers because they've slowly been getting better girls. I just think they'll be better of once their 'PC 12 graduates

They aren't rumors. You can only go so many years in a row not meeting quota before your house gets kicked off campus.
