I think the most important thing, which they tell you at rush, is to be genuine. If they can tell you're trying to be someone you're not, they won't want you. Be genuine. Talk about your interests, not just shallow topics such as the weather and how much you love Mizzou. Also follow the 4-B rule: no boys, bills (how much money you have), politics (I forgot what the B -word is for this--don't discuss your political views. however, if it's an interest of yours, feel free to talk about your involvement in politics-related clubs and such), bubblegum (don't chew it. that's tacky.)
