grade cuts

Hi everyone, so I was just curious what kind of houses make what type of cuts based of off grades and when do they make these cuts? Like is it the first cut they make or what's the deal?

Houses aren't THAT strict on grade cuts. For example, my house's grade cut is a 3.2. BUT we do take a few girls every year who are below that. Either because we really loved them, or they're a legacy.

I'm pretty sure all of the grade cuts are atleast 3.0+, many of them are 3.2+ or 3.3+. Yes, grade cuts are usually after the first day... but again, if you're a legacy or have an amazing rec letter or we just really loved you, we'll still give you a chance and invite you back. If you're just average and didn't particularly stand out, and you're below the grade cut, we aren't going to give you a chance and you'll likely be cut after the first day.

I'm in a mid tier chapter. Last year our grade cuts were at 2.9 (high school), could always change though. I also know aphi does not have a GPA requirement from high school. GPA requirements for mizzou are 2.6 (college), so you can bet most if not all the houses will cut you if you have anything less as a sophomore or transfer student.

My house has a VERY strict 3.3 cut.
From what I understand, most houses aren't that bad though

My house is a 3.5 for freshmen and a old girls need a 3.8

To poster #2 - you're wrong. Aphi does have grade cuts. A girl in my dorm had an older sister that was an Aphi at another school and she got cut because she had a 2.7.

a phi definitely has a grade cut. just no one thinks we do because our grades are low compared to the rest of the sororities. even though the all sorority GPA is higher than the all school gpa.

I know adpi and theta both have strict grade cuts of 3.5

Adpi and theta do not have strict grade cuts of 3.5, or I wouldn't know girls that got into them with 3.0s and 2.8s.
