dues

I want an honest assessment of how many of you guys pay your own dues. Does anybody pay their own dues besides me? Do you guys split the cost with your parents? Mom and dad foot the entire bill? I work two jobs in order to pay my dues so I know it can be done but I was wondering how many of you guys pay your own bills.

My parents pay what they would if I lived in a dorm for housing. Extras are my responsibility.

As long as I maintain a 3.5 my parents have agreed to pay my dues :)

3,000 a year. Out of my pocket. Work specifically to pay for my sorority.

Actually same as the person above me - parents pay dues if I keep atleast a 3.5

My parents pay my monthly fees and nationals fees but anything extra, like t-shirts or trips, are my responsibility.

My parents pay everything for me including dues, clothes, and housing. The housing is because its less that I would pay in dorms, the clothes are because I don't go shopping that much and they would pay if I went to the mall for like seasonal clothes that I don't really buy ever, and the dues are just because they paid for my sister's engineering fraternity so they felt that it was fair.

My parents pay for all of it. I'm a triple legacy to my sorority and my mother gladly foots the bill so I can share the experience she, my grandmother and great grandmother all had with my sorority :)

I pay for all of my sorority bills and my parents pay for me to live in the house. It's really humbling, I think it makes you value the experience more if the money comes out of your own account instead of all being paid by parents.

I agree! Though I don't live in house so I pay for all of it myself. It really puts into perspective how much you're paying so you try and get more out of it.
