we gotta haze harder

this is the stupidest thing you could do.

I have spent several posts defending the Fraternities at Mizzou because I have believed that by and large it is only a few that are poisoning the well for the rest of them. No longer! I have come to the conclusion that Fraternity life on this campus is toxic. If there are good guys, they are too weak to stand up to the morons that continue to put chapters at risk. We have lost several strong houses on campus because the members are tone deaf and can't seem to realize that where they have taken Greeklife is unsustainable. I always felt that my years in the house have contributed positively to me becoming a responsible adult. As I approach graduation, I don't see the guys behind me picking up any responsibility. The apathy is epidemic. Fraternities, those that are left, need to change the atmosphere and get rid of the guys that are in your house for the wrong reasons. It is unbelievable to me that we continue to have the same violations (forced drinking, physical hazing, etc) on this campus that we see in the national news all to regularly. How is that possible?

Has what happened to Sigma Pi, Farmhouse, SAE, Kappa Alpha, Delta Upsilon, and Pi Kappa Phi taught you anything? In the past 2 years we've lost six fraternities and all the traditional top tier chapters are in trouble. Even Beta with their connections and alumni couldn't save their chapter from having to kick a few actives and undergoing a year-long probation.
