Most of the storm over? Uhhuh! 11 investigations are still going on. Read today's Columbia Tribune about Beta not being sanctioned by their national but continuing on University probation until 2/1/19 and today's Kansas City Star about Mizzou fraternity closings and the new advisory council mulling Greek Life changes here. Among our problems is a tendency to see our situation as a brief storm that will blow over and then we can get back to business as usual. Maybe that has been so in the past, but we've reached the point at Mizzou - and nationally - that Greek "business as usual" is coming to a screeching halt.

11 investigations that have made little conclusive progress and pledgeship has resumed and in a few weeks hell week will begin as it has in the past and will forever more; beyond SAE and Farmhouse, and the now expired pledgeship halt, nothing has happened

So yes, it’s safe to say the storm is over

Any fraternity dumb enough to do hell week this semester is going to get shut down fast. Investigations take time and with 11 frats the school is stretched thin. The hazers will get their due and Farmhouse and SAE were the first of many

NOTHING has happened? Tell that to the men on this campus who no longer are members of the houses they pledged. Lots has happened, and much more will going forward. Just wait.

I hope this storm lasts a long time. At least until every remaining fraternity on this campus gets the message that change has arrived and they better get with it. I can't wait to see the new frat scene at Mizzou because it will be vastly superior to the old.

I've heard a rumor from a friend who works in the office of student accountability that more sanctions are going to be imposed on IFC after spring break and pledgeship this semester and for this fall is going to have a ton of scrutiny so I wouldn't call it over

Fraternities and their alumni need to push back against arrogant and over-reaching administrators.
