So, basically everything other than Spring Grades have played out for this year. Who will be the big houses in recruitment based on events this year? Who has fallen due to their performance this year? Which houses will be competing for the same girls?

Top Rush Houses
Chi-O: ((HOCO Champs/2nd place GW))
Kappa: ((Always recruits well, 1st place GW))
Theta: ((Popular with the smart girls/overachievers))
Tri-Delt: ((Popular with the hot girls))
Pi Phi: ((Popular with party girls))
GPhi: ((Party girls who cut cut from Pi Phi, let's be honest))
Middle Rush Houses
ADPi: ((Chill, laid back girls))
APhi: ((Girl next door types))
AXO: ((A little more edgy than APhi, but still girl next door types))
KD: ((Wannabe housewives/domestic goddess types))
DG: ((Barely hanging on to middle tier, and scandals galore will hurt them))
Low Rush Houses
ZTA: ((Bad Sisterhood, sort of forgettable))
Tri-Sigma: ((Mean, weird, not the best looking))
Phi Mu: ((Not great looking but super sweet. I really love Phi Mu, it's a shame they don't do better))
Unranked
SK: ((I have no clue. They'll either fall flat on their face or they'll rank middle tier girls like APhi and KD. We'll see how they fare. It could go either way.))

1) I would move GPhi to the top of the list. They were the TOP rushed house last year. 2) I would move ZTA up. They usually recruit better than AXO/KD and are moving right up there with APhi which arguably are both going to surpass DG this recruitment if both chapters can get their grades up! All three houses COBed this spring along with top tier houses so I wouldn't really say it is any chapters fault. 3) SK is kind of debatable still. Could really go either way but from what my friend on EC say they are already having loads of problems with recruitment. 4) ADPi, KD, AXO, and Theta I think are going to have a bland (not bad) recruitment. 5) ChiO will bring it in with the new house. 6) PiPhi could be good or it could be eh like last year. The hazing rumors could put a damper on things. 7) TriDelt and Gphi will typically get all the party girls like usual.
I predict better recruitments than usual from ChiO, Kappa, APhi/Zeta (one or the other), and AXO.

first choice: chi o, tri delt, pi phi, kappa,
second choice: theta, adpi, gphi
third choice: dg, a phi, axo/zta (zta always does well in recruitment but then many many girls drop. could potentially put them down in bottom b/c of that)
fourth choice: KD, phi mu, tri sig
not ranking SK. it depends.

I've got several friends in SK and they have said nothing has been ordered at all. But when I asked my friend who is rooming with an SK she said that her SK roommate was complaining about how expensive their stuff was. Which makes me think SK is being sneaky as hell. They're trying to make us think they're a mess and won't have to together. But let's face it, they have people from their nationals helping them with recruitment. Anyone would be a fool to count SK out because that's EXACTLY what they want everyone to do. Especially houses they can steal girls from.

sk wont get good girls. thats a joke.
pi phi- puts on a great rush but then kind of goes away
chi o- good rush the new house will help
kappa- always a good rush and 2 time gw champs
theta- are slipping so they really need to do good
dg- heard rumors that they might not even be able to do formal rush . but it could just be a rumor
a d pi- they will do fine.
gphi- always going for the looks.
tri delt- i dont know why they get such a bad rep. they are pretty smart and nice. they put on a great rush and will get great girls
kd- they are nice and need to step it up
achi o - they could do good
zeta- they have a few great girls who could really help them
a phi- always put on a cute rush
phi mu- need to do good
tri sig-neeeds to do good
sk- who cares

Yeah, but you also have to remember that Sigma Kappa specifically chose their spring COBs. They COBed very quietly, and I know from my friend in SK, that they got a lot of really smart girls from it.

Didn't every house that COBed pick their girls pretty specifically? I know that not all of the houses that COBed had COB events. I mean, ADPi and Zeta had COB events, but A Phi and AXO didn't. I feel like houses that didn't have COB events picked their girls a little more selectively. So.. saying that SK specifically chose their COBs really means nothing.

Saying sk "specifically chose their cobs" literally makes no sense whatsoever. Like the person above me said, every house "specifically" chooses their cobs. Well, sk lost out because other houses got cobs that are the WHOLE package - smart, funny, AND pretty. As shallow as it sounds, looks are the biggest factor in how good people consider a house. And when it comes to recruitment, like attracts like. a pretty, funny, awesome pnm is going to join a house where she can be with other pretty, funny, awesome women. So sk can say that they "specifically chose" girls just to raise their gpa, but they're a little delusional if they think it'll help them during recruitment.

^ and I'm not being catty either, it's just amusing to me that SK thinks they're being so smart and strategic by giving bids to girls who are awkward BUT really smart to raise their gpa... when other houses got girls that are pretty AND smart AND fun.

I?ll just say that I?ve seen a lot of their new pledge class, and most of them are similar in looks to the kind of girls you?d see in Kappa, very girl next door pretty. And honestly, the fact that you?re criticizing them for being able to look above appearance and recruit girls they actually connect with makes the entire greek system look bad.

SK just colonized with 200+ girls, most of whom are Freshmen. SK realistically doesn't have to give a bid to anybody for the next four years and they'll be fine in numbers because NOBODY is graduating. So yeah, I'd agree when I say SK is COBing strategically. They COB'd girls they like and that fit in with their group. Unlike some houses who literally have to take anybody because they never meet quota.

The only people who should really be worried about SK this year are Sigma, Phi Mu and maybe Zeta? I think SK is gearing towards giving bids to girls who would drop formal if they only had Sigma and Phi Mu left because, let's be honest, A LOT of girls drop after those are their last two choices.

I think that SK will not have a great recruitment this year. However, I do think that girls will pick SK over Tri Sig or Phi Mu simply because they do have some cute girls and they don't have the terrible reputation that the other two have. While most girls drop when they only have tri sig and phi mu left I think they would possibly stay if they had SK in their schedule still.

I don't think anybody is pretending that SK is going to pull any top tier girls. But I do think they'll snag the girls that drop because they don't wanna be in Sigma or Phi Mu. It might work for them. Lower-middle tier girls who don't get bids from APhi, KD or Zeta might become SK's because they don't wanna be Sigmas or Phi Mus.

These houses go for the same type of girls:
Chi o, kappa, pi phi, Adpi, theta: all well-rounded, good grades and go for girls that are more than just a pretty face
Tri delt, g phi, DG : girls who put a lot of emphasis on partying and are generally good looking
KD, AXO: go for the well-rounded girls who couldn't get into chi o, kappa, Adpi, etc.
A phi, zeta: party girls who are a step below tri delt and g phi
Phi mu, sigma: take the leftovers

i don't think sk will have a good recruitment honestly. their new spring cobs are kinda awkward looking. if they can't pull good cobs, why do people think they'll pull a good pc in the fall.
