Hi guys! I am a freshman at another university and I am thinking about transferring to Mizzou! I have a 4.0 and I am involved with a few extracurriculars. I am also a legacy of a house on campus. Does being a legacy help at Mizzou? I've heard some schools don't really care that much about it. What do you think my chances are at getting into a decent house as a sophomore?

If you're a good guy, and legacy for a house, as long as that house is of decent quality (really just depends on which one) you should be good to go to at least get a bid. The value of being a legacy varies from house to house, and you may even come here and not care for the guys in that particular house. I'm personally legacy for another house, but chose another house because I didn't much care for the men in the house I was legacy for.

Assuming you're a female, legacies vary in importance from house to house. I know if you're a Tri-Sigma legacy they don't cut legacies at all as long as you meet the grade requirement. Whereas another house might not care at all.
