If you went to school here, you would know it doesn't work that way. Top houses have a lot more going for them than winning one competition.

Pretty sure kappa doesn't give a crap to what we think. They have won both Greek week and hoco now. Says something don't you think? Daddy's money buys a lot. If they didn't talk to you during rush-- my thought is that they didn't want you. Check out how many private school ladies go kkg. For the rest of us we were cut before we had a chance.

I was a Kappa legacy and dropped them after the first round. My mother was shattered, but there was no one I could relate to in that house. Too boring for words. My worst fear is that because I was a legacy I would wind up at the top of their bid list. And if they are so rich, why don't they do something about that atrociously outdated decor?

Kappa probably doesn't give a crap, and that's apparent. They were offensively rude when I was there during the first and second round. They asked me back for the next round, but I cut them. Can't figure out why they kept asking me back only to not make much of an effort. And I'm not the only person who thought that way. They are either extremely full of themselves or severely lacking in social skills. Either way, I can't figure out why they would be anyone's first choice. Just not much there. Certainly nowhere near top tier.

I've never been to Branson but I've heard it's lots of fun. I hope to visit when the weather is warmer. As for the house I'm in, I got my first choice and most people consider it a top house. But that's not the point. The point is that the Kappa reality is very different from what they would like people to think about them. Truly, I didn't meet anyone who could hold a conversation, and I'm pretty easy to talk to.

Why all the kappa bashing? I have some great friends there and many of the girls did go to private school. They have proven themselves in competitions and academics. Also getting a huge renovation done. I agree that if you didn't click with the conversation it may have been an off day for either you or the rush group. As far as the person with the where I got my tan comment -- I have a feeling they may have cut you so guess it was a good thing to have cut them first.

EVERY house has girls from private schools. So what? Kappas academics have never been consistently high, and they don't measure up to PiPhi, ChiO, Theta or ADPi. As for whether they would have cut that girl with the tan, you can't possibly know that. But we do know that this house, so full of girls who are so full of themselves, didn't know what the Cote d'Azur was. And let's remember, private school girls from St. Louis are a dime a dozen. It doesn't mean much.

Nice try, Kappa. But this sort of thing doesn't mean much to PNMs. If you had a few more women who could actually conduct a meaningful conversation during recruitment, that would help.
