how can sigma and phi mu improve?

Why single these houses out? If Mizzou's PHA really did their job, we would all be supportive of all houses.

Taking swipes at any sorority is classless behavior, especially those houses that might be struggling.

I can tell ya why this freshman posted this. She went through rush and those were probably the two houses she had left on pref day and did not get in either of them. Therefore has to strike back. Or it's possible she is in a comparable house and feels threatened. She wishes she could be in one of these houses!!!

I met a really cute PhiMu last weekend at a party. She was there with some other freshmen in her pledge class and the thing I really liked about her is that when she noticed one of her sisters had been overserved and was getting sloppy, this girl said "ok we're getting you home" and left with her friend. That tells me she is smart and a good friend and was willing to put the safety of her friend ahead of having a good time, because a lot of guys were paying attention to her. I think that says good things about her and PhiMu.

I love many girls in Phi Mu. I don't know many Sigma's but they seem to be sweet as well. I would much rather be a member of a house with girls that look like normal 18-22 year old girls than girls who literally seem like all they do is go to bars and get plastic surgery. I love that both Phi Mu And Sigma don't work so hard to put up a front and it shows in their real, strong sisterhood. Lots of girls aren't looking for that when they rush but those who are end up very happy in these two houses. For being "bottom tier" they have great retention rates. That says something.

The "loser" reputation that everyone perpetuates regarding these two fine houses is midguided and they don't deserve it.

These are two outstanding houses that have been unfairly targeted with snide, petty and judgemental comments like those posted here and individually on their GreekRank sorority pages.

Regardless of whether the comment are derived from jealousy or plain and simple meanness - they are unwarrented.

Phi Mu and Sigma Sigma Sigma deserve a chance to build and improve their houses - and could use posts of support from the other PHA and IFC members rather than being derided for trying hard and being the sweetest girls on campus.

I mean I'm not posting this to take a dig at either sorority, I genuinely am just interested in what we can do, as a Greek System, and they, as a sorority, can do to help them improve.

as a sophomore not in either of these houses, i also thought poorly of these houses when i was going through recruitment but like now that i actually know people in these houses i dont understand why phi mu is always associated with trisig???? phi mu is hotter, has better grades, they actually like each other, enjoy being in their house and boys like them more than trisig (so, better in every way?). i just feel bad for them bc they have such a bad rap when they really dont deserve it
