update on pi phi hazing scandal
by: PI PHIAS OF NOW, pi phi is threatening legal action on the site, due to the allegations on here. Since here is currently a legal battle going on between several girls and their families and the house, things on this site might make an impact on all that. For that reason, its just not possible to disclose too much, but the house is in total panic mode.What is out and know so far is that the girls were taken against their will off campus and faced with intimidation to drink. The women of the house are all being told to get on this site and try to declare that none of this is true because its not yet on the PHA site, but that is because they are still under investigation therefore no punishment has been decided, and is not yet posted. If all allegations are four true, this house could lose its charter (spot on campus) this is more than just petty gossip, its really a serious matter for these women.

If the rumors are true, the university has the right to withdraw recognition from Pi Phi, in which their IHQ will have no choice but to revoke their charter.

couple of years will suck for them. DG is doing better than they were now at least. I mean it was awful for a bit, their ranking fell A LOT, but they are doing better now. I think this was the first year they showed promise and looked like their old selves (minus COB, but their numbers are still smaller). So Pi Phi will suffer but they are a top tier house (Like DG was too) so maybe they'll be able to pull it together in a while and start climbing back.

DG fell to middle tier. Don't try and pretend they stayed on top. Pi Phi will fall to middle tier as well.

Not sure if you noticed the person's use of the past tense there, champ. They said DG fell a lot and use to be top tier, which is what will happen to Pi Phi now. Agree that DG appears to be doing better than they were the last couple of years, although not stellar. This too is what will happen to Pi Phi.

If if happened, then it would be on the records for PHA's disciplinary actions. Every infraction is listed there because the school legally has to keep the students informed. There's no record of disciplinary action being taken against Pi Phi for hazing, so it didn't happen.

Even though all of this all blew over and Pi Phi didn't get in any real known trouble.. I have heard things about this house getting catty and mean within pledge classes or older members being rude to younger members. I have a friend in Pi Phi who doesn't get to live in house and when she exlained to me why it was petty and ridiculous. I'm sure not everyone in the house is rude or if it's even a real big issue, but something to be wary about!
