It's not fair to make an entire active chapter and decades of alumni suffer because of a couple of rogue members drank in the house. Kick them out, not the whole chapter.

Did the other members try and stop them? Did they report them to the IHQ or Alumni Advisors? Did they remove the ones drinking from the house? if NO, they let the ones drinking continue, then the other members are just as guilty, because they had every opportunity to correct the matter and they did nothing. It's the old saying....You snooze, you loose and I hate to say it, but that's how National thinks. Remember, their is NO "I" in Brotherhood.

It was confirmed yesterday that they were closing. SigEp members have until mid-October to vacate the house, after which it will probably be rented out by Lambda or Phi Psi.

What happens to be the staff that worked there? Some had been employed for a long time. They shouldn't get screwed financially.

The next fraternity to move into SigEps house will be either Phi Psi or Lambda Chi, and since they don't have any house staff of their own, there's a pretty sizable hands that they'll keep their jobs.

Two of Sip Ep pledges jumped two guys walking to their dorm. Apparently, caught the two guys were caught totally off-guard. The Sip Ep's split one kid's chin open and had to get it wired. The other kid had a bloody forehead and nose from getting kneed in the face. Lawsuit going on currently.

Solely because of the Balanced Man Program, those "pledges" were in fact full brothers. BMP eliminated pledging, so there is no vetting period to screen out idiot criminals like these "pledges."

It's not like SigEp brothers told these new members to go assault people. But the BMP brings these new challenges to risk management.

Sig Ep violated their Balance Man program and their national policy of chapter operations and according to their national by-laws, a chapter can lose their charter if found guilty.

Their national conducted their own internal investigation of the chapter and found several violations that went against Sig Ep bylaws, so hence, they were guilty and got shut down.
