Most of us agree the new Zeta house helped them a lot. Maybe Alpha Phi will get one, too, and the rivalry can continue.

Well zeta would have to step up to be considered a "rival" first. Zetas rivals are SK and phi mu.

If you really believe Alpha Phi is ahead of Zeta, you are 1) delusional or 2) don't go to school here. Zeta has a great house and had a great rush. Alpha Phi is floundering and I'm not sure even a new house could save it. And, no, I'm not a Zeta. I am just a freshman who heard all the comments about both houses and tbh no one I know even like Alpha Phi. Most got rid of APhi after the first round.

You just lost all your credibility when you said you're a freshman. You don't have a clue what these chapters are really like yet. You can only base your opinions on 15 min conversations from recruitment. Everything you know i superficial.

Aphi and zeta aren't rivals. Is aphi better? Depends who you ask. On a superficial level - yes aphi is better. They're more likable, more social, and have more attractive girls. That's what has always kept them in mid tier and ranked above zeta. The only thing zeta has over aphi is grades. And zeta is ranked typically 10 or 11 out of 15 so it's nothing to brag about.

Once you're on campus for a while you will learn the ins and outs of each houses true identity. Zeta has a very negative image on campus. And for most people the reasons go beyond the superficial. Could they one day be mid tier? Sure. But they have a lot of kinks to iron out in their sisterhood issues before they can go head to head with our current mid tier houses at a competitive level.

Hey Zeta, I'm an APhi and your house is FULL of girls we cut, as always. That is enough to make this rivalry you wish we had not even debatable. Go away and quit embarrassing yourselves, you are nothing but APhi/DG rejects.

I heard Alpha Phi hardly made any cuts and didn't reach their full quota. As for a freshman not having the right to comment, that's not fair. Freshmen know their peers better than upperclassmen. Freshmen know who went back to a house and who cut a house and the types of girls who make up a pledge class. And if you are talking superficial interaction, that 15 minute conversation goes both ways.

I can't speak for aphi bc I don't know anything about their return rates, but I can tell you if you think one freshmans opinion is absolute then you have a serious flaw in your justification. Even if zetas new PC was any good (which they're no btw), one PC doesn't move a house up on the ranks. There are three subpar classes above them. Or do you not understand Greek life? Zeta is not mid tier. Their new house doesn't change that. End of story:

You may have access to several devices so you can keep upvoting yourself, but single digit votes is hardly a groundswell. Only an alpha Phi can be THAT stupid. And to call attention to the lack of votes is just pathetic.

This GDI who doesn't understand you can't take over quota

Quota is the standard. Houses that have spots to fill take over quota. That's why the best houses take quota and houses that have lost lots of members may take 10-12-15 more than that. Alpha Phi had lots of extra spots to fill because they lost so many girls over the summer and need the money. They wanted to take more, but couldn't completely fill their pledge class. It's time for the Alpha Phi alum to get off this site. You are embarrassing yourself and your sorority. Get a life.

It's cute how you pretend to have all these details about a sorority you aren't involved with. GDI Pro Tip: the entire point of quota is that it's the max # of girls a house can take, in order to take more than quota you COB. Take a seat, troll, you're exposed.

Get off this site if you don't know what you are talking about. On bid day several houses had 70+ new girls wearing their t-shirts because they were able to exceed quota. Quota was in the mid-60s (63, I think) but the houses with openings had the opportunity to take more than quota, and it had nothing to do with COBing because that's a different process entirely. so do us all a favor and SHUT UP since you are totally clueless about the process. And, yes, Alpha Phi exceeded 63, but was not able to get as many girls as they wanted because the girls opted to go elsewhere.
