zeta to fold charter at mizzou?

by:

Zetas nationals have poured tons of cash into building a new house in hopes of increasing retention. Zeta has been on the decline for years with other, newer, chapters gaining ground. Zeta has struggled to keep up. Zetas numbers have remained steady although they had to COB 3 X last year to maintain average numbers. Despite the new house, zeta continued to get a sub-par PC. Will nationals take the next step to clean house? Start over? Pull the chapter? A little extreme options, but zeta should be doing much MUCH better on this campus than where they're at. Hopefully they can keep their new members this year and graduate the ones causing drama and problems that ruins their reputation. My bet is if zeta can't keep their new PC again, nationals will clean house

This post is ridiculous. If Zeta was in so much trouble as you are inferring then there's no way in hell their Alumnae or Nationals would have wasted the time or money to build the chapter here a brand new house.

So tired of all the Zeta-hating. It has become very stale.

Oh she's back in full force! Hi Zeta Hater! It's been a long tmie since you posted such a long diatribe. You do realize that you are a complete laughing stock here. Sorry about whatever Zeta did to you five-ten years ago. Zeta is FINE. Have a great day!

THERE is NO zeta hater! And while the OP was harsh, there IS some truth to it. Will zeta close? No that's laughable. Are they in trouble? You bet. Zeta is one of the least popular houses at mizzou and their recruitment proves that.

And you can tell this about their recruitment how exactly? Specifically? You can't. Their recruitment was just fine. I love these general blank statements that mean absolutely nothing. You must be a really sad individual to post these things. Take a look in the mirror.

We'll for one, I have a sister in SK and a good friend in phi mu. They told me a good handful of their girls had choices between their houses and zeta and they all preffed their houses over zeta. So that tells me quite a lot...

Zeta has a rich history here and had an excellent recruitment. Its national and alums are 100% behind this chapter, as evidenced by the new house. Now, I don't have clue why the Zeta hater feels she has to go to such extremes to criticize this house, but the lies really have to stop. We know what house she's in and we all think her energy would be better spent improving the shtshow on Providence that she belongs to. And maybe if your house improves, your alums and national will build a replacement for that white pillared dump you call home and you, too, can be as successful as Zeta.

Just more of the same from the Zeta hater, who has kicked it into high gear since Zeta did so well during recruitment. Time for everyone to move on.

Ya this post is beyond dramatic and ridiculous but Zeta did finally have a chance to step it up and failed to do so... they aren't going to close down, OP is probably a troll, but you really need to let go of this "there's one Zeta hater" because Zeta is a bottom tier house - they get hated on, that's how it works. You don't see Phi Mu making irrational "here's the Phi Mu hater" comments whenever someone insults them. They take it in and by the looks of their PC they also use the criticism to make them stronger. Zeta had a chance to turn things around but they (seem to have) kept the same strategy as always and I don't doubt that it will fail them and their sisterhood the same way it always does.

"Um" hit the nail on the head the head. Zeta comes up with excuse after excuse, and never changes their tune. No wonder they're still stuck in bottom tier.

OP: I honestly don't even think you're in a house here at Mizzou. If you were, you'd be more focused on events and activities going in your own house, meeting your house's new "babies", and catching up with everyone you call your sister.

Instead, you write a damn thesis that is one long string of lies about a house you aren't even in... meaning you couldn't really know the situation of Zeta's standing with their Nationals.

Did you suicide Zeta and not get a bid last year or something? As I said above, I have my serious doubts that you're even Greek because you'd have a life and not have time to concoct the lies and vitriol you packed into a fake exposé about a house you aren't even in! Praying you aren't a Journalism major.

No way in the world she's a journalism major. Her posts don't pass even the most basic tenets of good research or writing. She's just a pathetic troll who hates Zeta and can't stand the fact that Zeta had a great rush. She's the saddest person on this site by a long shot. And she's also oblivious to the fact that no one believes a word she says.

Ummmm Zeta COB ONE time last year...

rumor was three times. I can at least confirm twice. I wouldn't put ornate past them if they had to COB a third time based on history of the chapter and difficulty keeping members.

This is the perfect time to remind people that Alpha Phi had to take more people during informal last year than Zeta, by a long shot. Alpha Phi also lost more members, had to take a bigger pledge class during recruitment this year and has a dismal GPA. All of this anti-Zeta stuff is just a way of taking the focus off the house that's really in trouble -- Alpha Phi. And let's not forget Zeta has strong alumni support, national support and a brand new house, while the Alpha Phi house is a dump, with no support from alums or its national to build a new one. But, sure, go ahead, Just keep thinking this is about Zeta....

All of the above is true yet girls always chose APhi over Zeta like clockwork. Maybe it's time to change your strategy Zeta because even your new house didn't change a thing.

Alpha Phi would have support from their alums if the current house leadership wasn't running the place into the ground by recruiting based on looks alone. It hasn't always been that way.

Post is ridiculous for a couple reasons. #1 I don't know of any National that pours money into anything. Nationals take, they don't give (financially). 2. No alumni would take on a multi million dollar project like this if they were considering folding a charter. Doesn't happen. Especially with sororities when most of the debt service is covered by operations and not alumni. Just sayin...

by: There she is again

MizGreek, the most ignorant person on GreekRank, doesn't understand that a sorority can't build a new house without support from its national. Nationals secure the debt, you moron. And what do you think they collect all that money for if not to support the growth of their best chapters? It's not like collect it, convert it to cash and sit on piles of money in the living room at headquarters. They parcel it out as a reward. Some day you are going to look in the mirror, MizGreek, and once and for all stop broadcasting to the rest of us just how stupid you are.

They actually give the attention to the chapters who need it most, never the "best chapters" their job is to keep houses going ....

There She goes, You are completely uninformed I am a member of a Greek house that built completely new. WE, the local chapter, secured the debt with the land our old house was built on, and a successful fundraising campaign with OUR alumni. National did exactly zero. In fact, they charged us out monthly dues for the year we were out of the house and competed with our own fundraising. So next time you want to try and call someone out, make sure your not arguing with someone that has actually participated in a house campaign

There she is sounds like she/he has never delt with A National. They collect to keep their organization going, they typically have very little assets outside their educational foundations, which cannot be used to secure debt. Each chapter is more of a franchise than anything else with the assets managed and owned by the individual chapters house corporation. They may help you arrange financing, but they definitely don't contribute or stand behind anything financially. Our National doesn't even work out of Headquarters anymore, They are all remote. They do use those funds to buy insurance, which is by far their biggest expense.

She hasn't because she's a GDI troll, I've called her out on here before, she doesn't even know how our exam system works and inaccurately described our sorority house interiors + couldn't name a couple houses with the largest front yards - if you ever want a little kick ask her a question a troll wouldn't know right after one of her long self righteous posts that she's so proud of (that simultaneously out her as a GDI because she knows NOTHING about Greek life)
