rush??
by: confusedseeing as how you are all in sororities i figured i would get your opinion. i did not rush in the fall but i want to be in a sorority. Do you think i would have a better chance of being in a sorority if i just like COB with like SK , Sigma, or Phi mu or if i just wait and rush fall 2013 when ill be a sophmore. i just dont know what route to take part of me wants to hold out so i could get into a better house but then im like whats the point if they dont really want sophmores. But i do want to be in a sorority, i guess even if it had to be with sk, sigma or phi mu. ( it just suks cuz i think i could do better) thoughts/opinions. anything would be helpful. Thanks

SK is right now the cheapest house, but as soon as they add in their housing costs, they will be in line with everyone else. All the houses are pretty close in cost. Honestly, some just separate the costs when presenting so it doesn't seem as overwhelming, while others might give you an annual lump sum which can appear to be larger. But in reality, I have friends in nearly every house, including Sigma, with their new house, and we all pay close to the same amount in dues and housing. Also no houses are "hated" on campus only by a few crazies on this website. Everyone has friends in all chapters. That's the truth.

Don't take what anyone says on this site seriously. You said that "everyone hates" certain houses, well that's just not true. The only people who bash on other chapters are the ones insecure and unhappy in their own. Go to COB events, if you don't click with any of the houses COBing, then wait until recruitment. If you're looking for a sisterhood then you will find a place where you can be happy. If you're looking for reputation then no matter what you get you're not going to be happy because every chapter has bad things said about them and if that's what's important to you then you should explore other options.
