You need to get out more. It has always been called Greek Town. What else would you call an area made up of fraternity and sorority houses if not Greek Town?

Frat row, old row, new row, sorority row, those are more common terms at other schools. Pretty sure it's only called Greek town on here and I've never heard another school use that term so it's not a dumb question!

I'm 19 and I've never called it anything but Greektown. That's what we all call it, as in "she strolled all the way down Rollins and through Greektown doing the walk of shame."

Literally no one calls it that, so random! It's either the Greek community or street names.... troll

You literally don't know what you are talking about. The Greek Community? Oh, I think I will call it that said no one EVER. Though everyone calls it Greektown, it's not as important for women because all of the sorority houses are there. It's a bit more important for guys who would describe their fraternity house as either being in Greektown or not.

Of course it's only the "main troll" who has ever used the word "Greektown." But how do you explain the 2016 headline in the Missourian that says: "Two MU sororities to build new houses in Greektown." Or the Mizzou Magazine story with the headline: "Greektown gets a facelift." Or you could also google "Mizzou Greektown" and find the Maneater story that says: "The Delta Delta Delta annex is not the only historical house in Greektown with a sprinkler violation problem." If only ONE TROLL uses the term "greektown," do you think she wrote all three of these? Or do you think the stupid troll APhi alum who has nothing better to do just doesn't know what she is talking about and doesn't know how to do a Google search?

She used to go by the name of ^^^, then she took on the LOL moniker, but she is the same out of touch Alpha Phi alum who has made it her life's work to troll this site and rile people up with her ignorance. Time and time again she is put in her place but she is too dumb to get it. What a sad, sad life she must lead. she needs professional help and she needs to leave this website to those of us who are students.

Props to /// for shutting down the Alpha Phi alumni troll who just comes on this site to incite people. She must not have any friends. Or kids. Or a job. Or a husband. Just a sad soul sitting at home in front of her desktop computer with Windows XP trying to get attention.

How do you know that? Students wrote them and there is no reason to think they weren't Greek. Do you even go here? Are you not aware that the Maneater is a STUDENT newspaper and that the Missourian is a newspaper for the city of Columbia written by STUDENTS who are journalism majors? There are lots of Greeks who are in the j-school and lots of Greeks on the Maneater staff. My house is full of them.

While students most certainly wrote those stories, what difference does it make whether they are Greek or not? The point is "Greektown" is a widely accepted name for the area of Mizzou's campus with sorority and fraternity houses. Seems just one dense alum has never heard of it. The rest of us know better.
