The above is almost 100% correct, but I wouldn't differentiate that much among the lower-tier houses. Here's my pecking order (in no order withing segments):
Elite first choice houses: ChiO, PiPhi, Theta
First choices: GPhi, AXO, TriDelt, ADPi
Second choice: Kappa, DG, KD
Better than GDI: Zeta, APhi, PhiMu, SK, TriSig.

First of all, pecking order in this context meant which sororities get their first choice of pnms in which case the girl who started this comment would probably be correct. But when you throw in "better than GDI" labels as if we're talking about pnms choice there just really isn't a universal pecking order. Girls who first and foremost are looking for party life aren't going to choose ChiO and certainly not Theta over Gphi, APhi, DG and probably even Zeta. While I have a ton of respect for Theta they just don't offer what I was looking for out of Greek life. Also PS: no one calls tridelt Delta anymore so if you want to stop giving away that you're a desperate old alumni you might want to get with the times :)

You are the first person in the history of this sordid website to state that someone would choose Zeta or Alpha Phi over ChiO or Theta. What in the world have you been smoking? And what school do you actually go to?

Theta does their niche better than any other house on campus and XO is respectable as well but I personally prefed GPhi over ChiO (I dropped Theta first round) and I guarantee I'd have prefed APhi over Theta if those were my final two. If you want a social house then your view on tiers are verrry different than the traditional ones/the ones you see on GR.
