bid

ok I was offered a bid by a sorority last semester but I declined (nicely) because I did not know what I wanted to do, but I now regret not taking the bid. could I email them asking if I could still join or would that be wrong since recruitment is so close?

You should probably just go through formal recruitment if you can. During formal if you don't accept a bid you have to wait a year but I don't know the rules for informal

I'd go through recruitment in august, but I also would contact the house that gave you the bid to let them know that you regret turning it down and that you hope they will consider you once again. Otherwise you probably will get an icy reception from that house.
