fraternity perspective

by: Rushing

Howdy! Not too sure what kind of feedback i'll get from this (sorry but it seems like a bit of not productive bashing goes on) but I would love if, mizzou students/sorority women, wanted to give some advice. I'll be going to formal rush next weekend and have no idea what to expect really. Obviously I'll be going in with an open mind, and this is just for the help, but who should I be looking at? I played football and track in high school as well as competed on our DECA and Quiz Bowl organizations if that helps

My older sister was a freshman last year and said the most likable and i guess well rounded houses that her sorority freshman loved were Delta Tau Delta, Theta Chi, Phi Delta Theta, Lambda Chi Alpha, and Delta Chi

Delta Tau delta and theta chi are next to each other and both have super nice guys in them. Lambda wasn't really relevant last year because they were getting a new house, delta chi Is okay and Phi delt is newer and very young in terms of a lot of freshman and sophomores. Phi Delt also isn't in Greek town, but are nice dudes. Go into rush with an open mind don't narrow your choices right away and don't go off "rep" people get ideas of fraternities and sororities by only knowing a few people in those houses.

"sorority girl" is obviously a Phi Delt, and judging by their name, they are basically the same thing. Phi Delt is a grey area between sorority and fraternity. Not the place to go if you want to be among gentlemen. Rather, It's a place to go if you want to be around a bunch of "gentle-my-birth-gender-doesnt-define-who-I-am-'s& quot;.
