It must be alumni trying to talk up zeta. No real PNM would bother with zeta. They're bottom tier. Crap grades, no involvement, not popular with frats OR other sororities, and are known as drama starters. Sorry, no one who actually goes to mizzou currently would say zeta is sought after on any level.

i didn't write this post but im looking at zeta too? i don't understand why the tiers matter so much or the "boy" thing? i have friends in house. i've hung out with a lot of zetas. and it's a fun house atleast in my experience, and i've never had any problems with them? so yeah, i'm looking at rushing zeta. regardless of what you think, every other pnm i've talked to would rush zeta over phi mu and tri sigma. every fraternity guy i'm friends with said to rush any house but those two. so is zeta really THAT bottom tier?

It's just that zeta Has all the crazy girls who couldnt get into APhi or DG due to poor social skills/bad reps. If you know you aren't up to gphi or pi phi standards and still want a bid to a social house most normal girls can get into APhi or DG.

Tiers are based on merits of a chapter. So if you're looking for a house that is sub-par in all areas, then sure, rush a bottom tier house like zeta. I guess most girls just don't set their sites that low. But I guess that opens up more space for quality pnms in the upper tiers so thanks for weeding yourself out for us!

Oh and FYI, bottom tier ranks as follows:
SK
Phi mu
Zeta
Sigma

Zeta and phi mu can be interchangeable but the majority would rank phi mu over zeta because zetas are usually not friendly and tend to get caught stabbing each other in the back often. Lots of drama and problems in the zeta house just beware.

ANyone who suggests ranks are objective like ^ is clearly a little crazy themselves

Whoever said girls pledge Zeta when they can't get into Alpha Phi or DG has to be joking. Alpha Phi takes whoever they can get, and still manages to have to COB every semester. I would say Zeta and DG are on par, prob middle to low-middle tier. Alpha Phi is bottom tier, plain and simple.

So you're wanting me to answer a question abort a house that's off topic? This thread is about ZETA and how worthless they are. Again, typical zeta move. But since you asked soooo nicely, I could care less about what aphi is doing. Yes they COB. So does zeta. The difference is that people actually LIKE aphi, they're fun and fun to be around. Zeta? Yeah not so much. You'd have to pay me to be in a room with zeta. Have you ever noticed that Zetas are never invited to frat formals? Guys can't stand them. They are mean nasty girls. So that would be why aphi is more popular, more well liked, and higher ranked than zeta. Does that answer your question, dear?

Can I just remind everyone what house had the worst retention last year? XO. Aphi was in the upper half. No one HAS to COB it's a choice.

So once again Go Away Zeta is basing the worth of an entire sorority on what guys think of them. How enlightened! I tend to value a sorority based on its sisterhood and from what I know, Alpha Phi barely has one because they lose so many girls each semester. And perhaps before you categorize an entire sorority as "mean, nasty girls," you should look in the mirror.

Just ignore ^ everyone's least-favorite Alpha Phi. She has made bashing Zeta and TriDelt her life's work. Of course PNMs like Zeta; it's a fine house. And of course TriDelt is a quality house, even though the APhi has a bug up her as s about snap bids, which, I assure you no one but her cares about. She also is the woman with the limited vocabulary who thinks we should all use simple words so that she can understand. She is the worst troll on here and if it weren't so much fun to get under her skin we all would have disappeared long ago.

How do not know you're a idiot zeta and not a PNM? Easy. 1. Claiming zeta is a "fine" house, 2. Trying to drag another house into their drama to play the victim.

Am I an aphi? Absolutely not. My house doesn't compete with either zeta or aphi. Why do I care? Because I've seen more girls hurt by members of zeta than any other house. I've seen zeta babies crying alone in frat bathrooms because they've been abandoned by their "sisters." I've seen zeta publicly shame a girl in another sorority (only to have a third sorority step in to shut zeta down). I've seen Zeta steal an Xbox 360 from a frat house (and yes they were turned in).

I could go on but I think you get the picture. Zeta is a BAD house. Any decent PNM that ends up there drops by the end of first semester. PNMs be warned, there's a legit reason this house is bottom tier. There's a reason that zeta is the only "established" house in bottom tier. Their sisterhood is a train wreck, there is no loyalty.

Great post!^ Except for one thing. Zeta IS a fine house. Our least favorite Alpha Phi is desperate and somehow thinks lying about other houses will somehow make Alpha Phi better. The thing is, though, that Alpha Phi is almost dead last in grades (for existing members as well as new members) while Zeta ranked much higher than that for existing members. And, sadly, Alpha Phi had a spring pledge class that also ranked second from the bottom while Zeta didn't even have to do second semester recruitment to fill their house. Now, the 24-7 Alpha Phi next will try to convince us that the gpa's aren't significantly different and that the sorority gpa is embarrassingly awful. Sadly, she's wrong again. On both counts.

Lol my house is always top 5 in grades and grades DO matter. Don't you get it sweetie? No matter how much you try and point fingers at aphi, no one cares. I'm not an Aphi. Now you know what about really sad? A bottom tier house trying to tear down another house for grades. Zeta has NOTHING to boast about because they consistently rank 10 or 11 out of 15 in grades. That's bottom tier sweetie. Even phi mu out ranked you this semester in grades. Try a different approach to your argument. The track your on is just making your bottom tier house look worse than it already is!

Speaking of phi mu, they consistently out rank zeta in areas of involvement, popularity, and now even looks. Oh yes, don't let the alumni try and tell you zeta is a "hot" social house. That was almost a decade ago when that was all they had going for them. Phi mu has cuter girls now.

So what does zeta have going for them? Everyone hates them, they're not attractive like they used to claim, bottom in grades, not involved, and questionable sisterhood.... hmm sounds like a bottom tier house that's struggling to me.

i have a 3.8 GPA, personally i think I'm an aphi, gphi kind of girl but pi phi is a house that i am looking at. the sororities grades really doesnt matter to me as long as i find my life long friends??? their grades dont define who I am as a student.

Being a legacy might help with these three houses, but it doesn't mean squat in better houses. Theta, PiPhi, TriDelt, ADPi and ChiO could probably fill two pledge classes with legacies going through rush, but they never would.

This!! I came to Mizzou and was convinced I was going to join the house my best friend joined (she's a year older). She actually isn't really like a lot of the girls in her sorority and I wasn't either. They were super fun but it wasn't the house for me. I was devastated when I got cut by them but I am so happy where I am. PNM's, please have an open mind and though it's good to go in to recruitment with a few houses on your radar, you might end up super unhappy if you're dead set on ONE house.
