sophomore rushing?
by: hjkI'm super nervous about rushing as a sophomore and not getting a house that I like or even getting one at all. I mean I'll have a really good GPA in my opinion (3.4 or 3.5), I'm in an academic fraternity, I have an on campus job, plus I'm in a few clubs and I could have a couple rec letters. I like to think I can dress nice and I love having good conversations! Do you think I'll be fine to get in a house like Kappa, ADPi, AXO, or Gamma Phi Beta?

As a sophomore who joined Greek life this past fall I can tell you the best thing you can do before recruitment is to not fixate or joining specific chapters. You seem like an awesome candidate. I promise you every chapter on this campus takes sophomores so don't worry. You're rushing as an equal to every other girl! Trust your gut and keep smiling and you'll find home

Just don't emphasize the fact that you're a sophomore. Try and lead the conversation elsewhere, because if they like you, the like you. I told one of the houses I was a sophomore and they dropped me immediately, and the other house that I didn't bring it up to I got a bid from...
