sigma kappa seems to have done well

Diverse like most new colonies. Good starting numbers, and no judgements should be made until we see what they bring to the table. But seriously, I already heard girls are dropping. WTF? Didn't they just accept their bids? Are people already giving them a hard time? Calling them the leftovers/the girls that got cut from all the houses? Typical mean girl crap. Don't listen to them ladies. They'll do and say anything to get your good members to drop just to make sure you don't do well. And even if your not so good members are dropping, they'll still say your good ones are, and claim retention problems. Anything they can grab onto to hate on you. Trust me, I hate to say that, but it is how it is.

no one is giving them a hard time, at least not on this site. they're supported 100%! After Tri Sigma's failure here, we need a GOOD sorority to make a lasting impression, not one that fades after a year or two! keep it up SK!

Obviously TriSigma hasn't failed over 200+ members or else we wouldn't have added another sorority. Comments like the one above is what makes people believe Sk will be next on the hit list. Remember how supportive and nice everyone was to Sigma at first?? Then when they started getting recognized for anything, the mudslinging started. I hate to say it, but it will happen with SK too. As soon as everyone starts saying they're better than some houses that have been on campus for decades, especially the catty houses, they'll be ripped apart on websites. It might take a year, but trust me, by recruitment, if girls think they might lose some pnms to SK, the claws will most definitely come out. They did it to APhi when the re-colonized, did it to Sigma after a strong colonization, and they'll do it to SK. Anything to keep a particular place in a tier...

My roomie is a Sigma Kappa and from what she's told me a lot of the SK girls dropped formal after not getting their top pick or after getting stuck with Phi Mu or Tri-Sigma at the end. Personal opinion from what I've seen is the SK girls are mostly pretty girls who, for whatever reason, just passed up during formal and decided to join a new chapter instead of wait another year to possibly be rejected again. I'll tell you what though the SK girls are already hungry to claw their way to the top. My roommate will not stop talking about Greek Week ((Which they won't win but still)) and even Recruitment. I dunno, I feel like it's going to get nasty once some of the lower tiered houses have to fight SK for cute pledges next year.

I wouldn't worry about SK "hungry for top tier" it's never happened, nor do I think it will ever. All of the "newer" sororities on campus are still bottom tier. sigma = worst house on campus. Phi mu = recolonized a decade ago and is second to worst. Aphi = maybe not bottom tier now, but it took them a LOOOONG time to move up to bottom mid tier. Do you really think SK will miraculously become top in the next year? next 5 years? even ten?? not likely. That's why it's laughable to see these posts. Quit worrying about your house getting passed, the odds are against it. Instead, why don't you build this new house up?? They need it more than ever, especially if you look at their history here. SK already had to close their charter once here, let's not make that a repeat!

tri sig and phi mu SHOULD be scared

they have terrible reputations and its hard to come back when youve already hit the bottom

if sk stays reputation-less until next years rush...they could really kill tri sig and phi mu\n\n\n\n\ni hope they win greek week..that would be hilarious

im a sigkap and i enjoy it but i think the girls that dropped did it bc it was SO time consuming colonizing, etc. also it is VERY strict since we are new so it is difficult sometimes. but we are all very nice and down to earth. its SUCH a diverse group that you will have to meet at least 10 of us to make a judgement bc theres some partiers/hotties, theres some less social, etc its just so random. so next year we will see :)

Sigma Kappa, please for the sake of if you ever want to do well and be taken seriously get off this website. You are currently allllll over it! Let your girls speak for themselves when people meet them don't get on this website and brag because so far that's allll I've been seeing and it isn't leaving a good taste in anyone's mouth. Keep it classy. Let's keep improving our greek system. seriously

SK... there is no way you are top 5. STOP SELF RATING. Of course you had a big pledge class.. its full of left over freshman that didn't get picked and transfers. Dream big.
