why don't you have swaps/mixers

If I'm correct swaps/mixers are just socials between one fraternity and one sorority. Which we definitely do that, we just call it a social. We don't do what you know as "swaps" that often though. At Mizzou we typically prefer to have date parties, so our sororities rent out a bar and each member invites a date to come. Personally i like that idea better because you have more of a choice in who you're having fun with. During our homecoming and Greek week he have marriage and divorce parties (pairing parties), which are just themed socials at to celebrate the beginning and ending of the pairings. Depending on the chapters, outside of hoco and Greek week we throw a non-date socia ("swap") maybe once a semester. We have so many date parties and pairing parties so there's no room for much else.

Agreed, mixers are awesome and create great relations between sororities and fraternities, most schools do date parties as well as mixers, I don't get it!
