where to cob?

by:

I did a little creeping and found that Aphi KD Zeta Phi Mu SK and Sigma all did COB last year. I've read multiple times on here zeta probably won't COB because they already did this semester instead, so I guess that's not an option. Aphi seems fun, idk if I'd fit in. KD SK and Phi Mu all seem to have a diverse set of members so I wanna try them. Can you rush more than one house? Will their events be on the same days? How many girls am I up against. If at all possible I would like to get a bid through COB and join as a freshman, but if I have to i'll just do recruitment in the fall.

The best advice I can give is contact the recruitment chair of each house you're even remotely interested in and ask if they're doing COB. Contact your friends in those houses as well and get the scoop.

In my experience, KD and Sigma are the most open and honest about COB. They both publicly posted about their COB events on their social media in the past and are very welcoming to all girls, even if you don't have friends in the house. Phi Mu/Zeta/APhi/SK are a little more close lipped about COBing but you're not counted out just because.

Keep an open mind and put your best foot forward. And when in doubt, contact PHA and see if they have information for you!

And you can rush more than one house but they don't all COB at in the same time frame.

So let's say you rush SK and they offer you a bid, my advice is take it if you feel like you fit in. Waiting for another house to open their COB is a risky, risky move and one that probably won't pan out.

For COB, take the first bid you get if you like the house and can see yourself there.
