sororities
by: WonderingIt seems like senioritis is kicking in for a lot, and with applications out by the November 1 deadline, most senior girls can't help but to think about next year. Are most sororities pretty open to out of state girls? Do you have to have a 3.0 to rush? Schools like Indiana only require a 2.7-why is Mizzou so much higher? Are there cliquey houses? Being from out of state, having a pretty welcoming house is important. If choosing to go far from home, are there any sororities that pull certain areas of Chicago? Not saying that's what I want, and maybe it's something to avoid? Most guys that join frats seem to stay with their high school connections-I don't think girls would be like that, but maybe they are?

All houses will be welcoming, however there are some houses that tend to pull more out of state girls to their house.
there has been much discussion lately that certain sororities are turning in to the 'frat' idea. A group of kids graduating from high school but not wanting to give up their security. There IS A huge number of frats that do this and yes, even a sorority or two that do. Decide for yourself-do you want go away to college to meet knew people and discover yourself? Or do you want to stay in the 17 year old mold and hang tight to the people you know. Nothing wrong with either-some need the security of always being the 'top gun', others want to go off to college and make all new friends and connections.
Your preference-just work on getting your grades up-for your best options1

Are you in a questionable house that you need to be so rude? Most girls know coming in which houses to avoid...
