best of bottom tier?

In my personal opinion, it should be...
KD
Zeta/SK (in this order)
Phi Mu
Sigma

Some might argue that they would switch Zeta and KD, but it's all personal preference...
I put KD first because they win/place in most completions, and get overall decent girls. Improving year after year.
I put Zeta and SK together, as they are at the same level but attract completely different girls. Just a matter of opinion on this one! More social vs. More well rounded-ish.
Phi Mu places in a decent amount of comps, and attracts the sweethearts of the bottom tier.
Sigma is unfortunately last, but honestly since I've been here have vastly improved! Need to work on retention, then we can hopefully see improvement in the near future.

In terms of popularity and overall likability:

I'd put sigma before phi mu because I think sigma outrushed phi mu this year (which not a lot of people really expected) and they're really improving and phi mu is staying the same. Everyone who I've talked to who had sigma and phi mu on pref day put sigma first. (I realize this is isn't very reliable but still). Both houses are full of super sweet girls but I think Sigma is more social, honestly. They don't have a huge campus presence and they need to work on retention but I see huge improvements within Sigma these past few years which I haven't really seen in Phi Mu. SK goes before Zeta because I see SK as a more well rounded house.

if tiers have to be divided evenly, then I'd put KD in bottom, otherwise I'd say they're not quite bottom. I'm throwing them in anyway

Zeta and Phi Mu are very different, but about the same level. SK has just the slightest edge over them that warrants them being in a different row. Sigma is definitely improving, but haven't moved from the bottom spot quite yet. Zeta, Phi Mu, and SK are kind of stagnant recently though, so Sigma could surpass them soon if they don't start improving too.
Of course, some will argue that Phi Mu is better than SK. That depends if you think it's better to be unknown, or have an "image" but be looked down upon. Personally I'd rather go about unnoticed than have a reputation for being "phi moo" (not saying it's still accurate, but the stigma is still there). But to each their own, everyone makes the choice that's best for them during recruitment!! :)

I think think KD is bottom tier. They place top five in competitions too often for that to be the case. Plus their girls are overall well liked by other greeks. They're bottom tier in my opinion.

SK/Phi Mu are top of the bottom for me because people like them. Zeta's reputation is too bad for them to be top of the bottom. Sigma is still our worst house but I think they're making improvements.

Why put houses in tiers at all? What appeals to you might not appeal to everyone.

As long as you are happy in your house, that should be all that matters.

And if you aren't happy with your sorority, make an effort to do better in getting to know your sisters.

If you feel these "bottom tier" houses are below you/your house, why must you feel it is your job to rank them?

Am I the only one who thinks phi mu > Sk? Ppl just assume they're gaining a higher spot because they're new but I don't find.. I would say it's kd/zeta phi mu sk sigma

I got into a top house this past recruitment and surprisingly got cut by most of my other top picks. I ended up with KD as my #2 pref and was happy that if a bottom tier house was my alternative it was them. I liked how sweet and genuine they came of and how they didn't have a type per say. I saw some pretty girls and some not so pretty girls and everything in between. It's almost a no brainer that someone would choose KD over SK, Phi Mu and Sigma. Zeta beats them on looks by a long shot though
