Reposted: houses likely/not likely to COB

Bottom tier houses are the only houses that will most likely COB. That includes zeta, phi mu, sk, and sigma.

Mid tier houses may COB but not always. Where they do it's very very limited. I wouldn't bet on waiting for a mid tier house to extend you an offer.

Top tier houses rarely if ever COB. If you want a top house you will have to try your luck in formal recruitment

Houses that harbor already COBd this semester:

Zeta, aphi

In fall you will get to see all of the houses and be able to make an informed choice. Not so with informal. But if you feel that you will really fit in the house you are considering in informal, go for it. It might be your best bet but it might not. But if you are really happy there, I would take the sure thing. That way you can move in next fall with women your age.

Just FYI, no one knows how likely a house will COB, regardless of tier. If the house has room for new members, then they may COB. If they're at capacity, then they won't. Only each chapters executive board knows how many girls are in the chapter. So to those of you asking over and over "will do and so house COB next semester?" The answer is no one really knows. No one knows how many girls will transfer, drop, go alum until it happens. There's no way to predict if a certain house will COB next semester. The liklihood of a house COBing is all based on previous years. For instance, bottom tier houses are more likely to COB. If you are wanting a mid or upper tier house, I wouldn't hold your breath for a COB event. Go through formal if you want to see all the houses. There's only a select few that COB.
