And now this happens, and most people on this site are all too eager to blame people of color and to deny it happened or to state without question that the police report was 100% correct when, as we all have learned by reading the news, the police don't always get it right and it makes sense to question, question, question. So, my point is, why are we so quick to blame minorities and deny any blame whatsoever by the Greek community when we ALL know people at this school who have used the N word and we ALL know people at this school who are intolerant when it comes to minorities. It would be one thing if everyone on this campus were open-minded, but the reality is that these things are not beyond the realm of the believable. How about if we limit comments ONLY to people who have NEVER heard any member of the Greek community use a racial epithet. What a silent world it will be.

Please, take a look back at the last 5-8 years of Mizzou. I understand that some new to Mizzou might not understand this, but take a look back at the movement of "onemizzou" and see how far things came.
Until last year. TWO of our 'appointed' leaders, who later ran as fast as they could when things got heated, admitted to stirring the pot and fueling the racial fire that was almost non existent at mizzou.
Please, take a look back at the recent history.
And PLEASE know, that its been DOCUMENTED, that even some 'lies' that start a lot of drama, go without consequences. There are many, many black students on this campus that are so happy with where they are, and the opportunities they have. BUT, now they are being called out as 'sell outs' or as Michael Sam was last year, saying he was 'bought' when he spoke about his experience here on campus. This was a really great place a year ago, and most were happy(please read through lbc minutes from meetings and SEE what was happening prior to 2015.). Yes, let's all move on and get along, but calling people crackers, Uncle Tom and threatening to burn buildings is NOT the way to move forward. My question is, when it was documented in person and on FILM that someone called someone a cracker and threatened to burn down buildings-were charges made? Did it make the news? BUILDING DOWN BUILDINGS in this day and age is not just an idle threat-people actually do it. How do we address that?

Most have seen an equal division of debate from each side. If anyone saw anyone defending, or arguing, it's about alpha phi, and I think most in the greek community are calling them out on it. I'm not seeing anyone persecute lbc-or du. I think most see that's an obvious division. I actually went back and counted the aruguements and more were in support of lbc, so not sure what you are referring to.

a bunch of little wussies. words were said and the guilty were people totally unrelated to DU. But DU takes the fall for something that just happened to spill onto their front yard. anybody see the injustice here? who is protecting the innocent? why is it ok for LBC to use the N word all day long? why were people not charged for threatening officers and threatening to burn things down? were the LBC all charged with public drunkeness and disorderly behavior? totally F'ing double standards here.

I was merely clarifying your statement. I have justified nothing and I would appreciate it if you would stop making generalizations and accusations. To my knowledge, no one called anyone your aforementioned epithets in this instance, so I'm not sure they are relevant at this point.
