a keeper?

by: Wonder

So SK tried and failed two previous times on this campus. First it was in the 1970s and then again in the '90s. Its national isn't that strong and there is a history of pulling out when times get tough. So what do you think this time around? It has been here now for four years. How is their pledge class and do you think they are in it this time for the long haul?

I actually think their previous pledge classes were better. But then, to be honest, I didn't think the girls in general going through rush this August were as good as the previous two years. But that's just my opinion.

So does every new pledge class! They're all babies, they're eighteen years old. They should look young. I think having a pledge class of girls who look their age is better than worn out, used up cake faces who are over tanned and look like they're pushing thirty lol

Why do SKs KDs and most other bottom tier houses always look like they're filled with 14 year old girls when houses like XO, Pi Phi, GPhi, APhi, ADPi, etc look like college girls. Anyone else notice this

I never noticed that they look like 14-year-olds, but they don't seem to have much sophistication. They also are the girls who look like they just rolled out of bed when they go to class. I mean, have a little pride.

true! It really doesn't matter what you're even learning in class, or that you're actually going, because I'm not here for an education! Just here to make sure people like you know that I'm really trying in my appearance!! it's like I don't even learn anything when I go to my 8 am if I'm not dressed up in snappy cas, ya know?

I am a T.A. this year and am very excited about it, mainly because undergrads hardly ever get to do that. In my interview last spring the prof told me one of the reasons I got the job is that I looked the part. "You never came to class looking like you were wearing pajamas," he said. Well, it's true. I'm glad the pride I take in my appearance paid off.

Off topic but congrats on being a TA! I would lovee that, I've heard of very few undergrads, how did it come about? Was there an ad for it or were you approached?

It was posted and a friend told me about it, so I asked the professor who does the lectures for the course if I could apply. He knew who I was and was impressed with both my gpa and the fact that I have some practical experience after my internship in the area I am teaching. There were three openings and it came down to the fact that I was actually more qualified than some of the other grad students who were interested. So it's me and two grad students. So far I LOVE it and the extra money is nice, too.

Getting back to the original post, I think SK started out well, but now is just getting by. If its national were better they would have more potential, but with declining enrollments and with some of the other lower tier houses really stepping up, I think its future is cloudy here once again.

Are you sure you're not talking about zeta? SK recruited the best class out of all bottom tier houses this year. The Only house that struggled was zeta.

I would love to know what Little Miss GreekWeek has against Zeta. But I can tell you that if she's against, it, I'm for it. That girl's a loon.
