theta and sigma kappa....please control your babie
by: greekgirlI was standing in line at the bookstore yesterday picking up some last minute things, and I wasn't wearing my letters...meanwhile, a Theta and Sigma Kappa baby were in line behind me talking about recruitment and their new experiences in their chapters, things of that sort...They continued to talk down on my own chapter, not knowing that I was a member of that chapter, and said some pretty rude stuff and they even went to the point to talk down about my philanthropy. I am absolutely disgusted that 2 freshmen girls would feel the need ALREADY (or even at all honestly) to be talking bad about other chapters and especially other chapters' philanthropies. Less than a month ago, we welcomed you with open arms into our home and got to know you, as well as the other 14 chapters on this campus. If you don't have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself, especially in public.

I think this says more about the culture they're stepping into than it does these particular girls. I mean let's take a look at this site as an example and how we speak about each other leading up to recruitment and during recruitment as well. They see how the older girls act and think that it's okay.
Maybe we could all do better to lead by example.

I just don't see that there are a lot of upperclassmen on this site. I sure hope that by the time I am a junior or senior I have outgrown it.

No, I can totally see it. I can totally see any two sorority girls hanging out, especially freshman year because of dorms-and that's the way it should be.
We know which girl it is trying to do this-supposedly aphi has actives on 'assignment' to patrol these boards and how pathetic isthat?
