frat tiers

I'm hoping you're a freshman girl asking this question because it's one that has tediously been asked over and over. And the answers are pretty much all the same and repeated over and over. The top tier does include DU, Beta, and Sigma Chi with Kappa Sig, Delta Tau Delta, Delta Sig and Pike possibly considered for top tier inclusion. Mid tier would include Farm House, KA, ATO, Fiji plus Kappa Sig, Delta Tau Delta, Pike and Delta Sig if they're not included in top tier.Phi Kap would probably make it into the middle tier in some opinions. The rest of the fraternities would all rank lower than those already mentioned. Keep in mind that the fraternities tend to rank themselves differently than women do. So some guys will try to argue with this tier allocation.If you are a freshman sorority pledge, you'll find that many sorority actives will offer a similar tier ranking.

It's embarrassing, but too many of the Mizzou fraternities are not of the high calibre as the majority of Missou sororities. Many of the male Greeks are preoccupied with being "frat" men as opposed to "fraternity" men. They can be pretty crude. Fraternity men are generally classier than frat men and have more to offer the Greek community. Beta, DU, and Sigma Chi are probably the least embarrassing and the classiest houses here and closer to being fraternities as opposed to frats. Beta excels academically and has that to its credit over the other two. DU has a lot to offer but really needs to re-focus on achieving higher academic standards. However, these three do stand out as top fraternities. Delta Tau Delta, Pi Kap, ATO, Fiji, KA, Kappa Sig, Delta Sig, and Farm House would constitute a middle tier. The remaining fraternities are lower tier.

Which fraternities are on probation ?

Who cares? Fraternities and their parties are fine for freshmen, but by the time women are sophs and above they are pretty bored with the whole frat scene. It seems that while girls mature, boys seem frozen in time. In fact, I don't think I know even one girl in my (top tier) house who is going out with a frat guy. Too immature. So it seems a waste of time to rank fraternities because they become more and more irrelevant as time goes on.
