alpha phi, alpha who?

Why would APhi wear light PINK dresses on Pref Day and use CARNATIONS for their letters and other decorations? The color pink and carnations are Gamma Phi's symbols and have been tradition. Isn't every house house supposed to showcase their own personalities and highlight their own symbols, tradition and heritage? Aphi actually has great colors they could have chosen from, yet they chose to copy, EXACTLY, Gphi.
Clearly the bashing on this website had validity to it. First it was taking Tri Delts traditional marks and now GPhi on Pref Day? Is this a house that seriously has their own image and beliefs? This was probably one of the tackiest things yet a house has pulled here at Mizzou.
And now to be catty-they should have imitated some of Theta or Chio's signature marks, it's the GRADES that this house needs to improve on, and clearly this choice is a perfect example of that. Wow.
Pink Dresses and carnations-to copy another house outright, that's just embarrassing.

The ONLY way aphi would get girls to choose aphi over Gphi or trident is if Gphi and trident closed their chapters at Mizzou. Hahahhhhaaaaa

Won't lie-they have some pretty girls but this was definitely not their best pledge class they've ever had. A couple of the blondes that chose dg, zeta and yes even 2 that chose Adpi over aphi. Until y'all can get some girls with brains you will continue to have a problems. Houses with grade and retention problems can't keep saying "but we have a pretty pic". And no, they're not flawless, you are asking for trouble with that attitude-this keeps being said over and over. Watch it

WHO CARES about the dress-no one, especially since recruitment is over! Even most aphi's said it was a dumb decision, but it's over.
I think the op point was gphi has been doing light pink-forever. Their flower is a light pink carnation, many gphi's nationally do light pink on pref-and they've been doing it.
If I was considered a 'wannabe' house with terrible retention and grades I would probably do something to set my house apart from the house they say I get leftovers from.
White or black dresses? Or using your own colors of Bordeaux(burgundy) or grey, both colors which are in style. Or maybe I'd go with my philanthropy color of RED! or maybe I'd do blue, yellow, some other pastels, or even BRIGHT pink! Bottom line, if Chio or Adpi or Sigma did light pink, no big deal..but when you claim to be 'winning' gphi and tridelts girls, you don't choose the same color they've been doing forever. As stated, there was much discussion of girls not wanting to do pink which is why they then threw in the white, but girls felt obligated to do as instructed. They should have made a bigger uproar so they didn't look so foolish! Again, hundreds of colors to choose from and aphi chooses light pink...dumb, dumber and dumbest decision they've made yet. They really need some leadership that can actually think, process and make wise decisions.
