it's decision time

by:

For many PNMs, the biggest question of all is not which house you like the best, but whether you want to be part of the Greek system at all. You might not be thrilled with your choices, but if your goal is to have a sorority experience and to spend your four years at Mizzou making lifelong friends who also happen to be your sisters, then you have to stick with it. The fact that our sorority system is so outstanding and the envy of many campuses is the result of the commitment you make to the system, your house, and to yourself to have a truly special college experience. Tiers are constantly in a state of flux. There is no reason YOU and your friends in your pledge class can't be the catalyst to make your house great. Good luck and we'll see you at the stadium! (And to those of you who figure you'll just quit and go through informal, don't be fooled. Many people sign up for informal and are NEVER contacted or invited to a party. And if a house cut you once during formal rush they will do it again in informal. Staying with it this week is the very best way to be a Greek.)

So many women come into this week with preconceived ideas that there is just one house where they could be happy. They might be a legacy there or they might have heard from someone in high school that there are only a handful of houses that are worthwhile. Well, that information is wrong. You can be happy anywhere if your goal is to be in a sorority. That's what you have to decide.
