pref/bid question

So help me understand this process. If you were invited to visit 5 of the 7 houses today that you pref last night and you have to cut that to 2 pref for tomorrow can you still get a bid from the 3 that you don't pref tonight? Or do you have to match the 1 or both that you pref tonight to get a bid?

You are only offered a bid from a house whose preference round you attended. So no - not from the other 3 in your example.

But let's say you have 5 houses to visit today. A, B, C, D and E. You pref A & B tonite. But if they didn't pref you, does that mean tomorrow your pref might be C and D? Or D, E? If you pref 2 today and they don't choose you are you done or does it just go down your list?

Yes. If you don't match with the first 2 you preffed and you do match with your next 2 you will have your 3rd and 4th on pref day. You can then only get a bid from your 3rd and 4th.

And A, C, and E cut you, you will have B and D on pref round

So,if I was invited back to seven houses today (Friday), I could actually get a bid from any one of these seven if I maximize my options?

Okay - I got it now. If I was invited back to seven houses today, and the top two I pref tonight dont' invite me back - then I could get invited back to the third, fourth houses, etc. But after I visit those houses tomorrow - I could only get a bid from one of the two. Sorry!

Ok I'm confused now. If I went to 5 houses today, tonight I pref all 5 in the order I liked? And tomorrow I can visit 2 that I matched, not necessarily in MY order of preference?

The houses get to ultimately make the decision if you come back or not, so even if you pref D and E last you could still have those 2 tomorrow if they are the only ones to invite you back.
If your top 2 houses choose to keep you then you will 100% be back in those houses tomorrow.
