friendly reminder
by: CarefulAXO is notorious for bid promising to get their return rates up. So take everything they say with a grain of salt as we get closer to the end of recruitment. They bid promise almost everyone who is there on pref day and somehow never get caught because PNM's believe them and don't know any better. Follow your heart and don't put someone first just because you think they want you more!!

At one time or another EVERY house has been accused of this. Note to PNMS: when someone says "I would love to see you here again," that's a personal opinion, not a bid promise. So don't read too much into it. A bid promise is when the recruitment chair comes up to you, takes you aside and says "I am the recuitment chair and I promise you you will be at the top of our bid list." And that, quite simply, doesn't happen. So just stop with the accusations.

AXO is all over the comments trying to blame ADPi... sorry but you can't tell girls "I can't wait to be your bid day buddy". That's bid promising. I KNOW it happens because it happened to me and I chose another house (I found it creepy and desperate TBH) but I know several other girls who had similar things happen and ended up not getting a bid the next day or getting a bid to a different house even though AXO was their first pref.
The bottom line is it's just mean, if you care enough about a PNM to invite them to pref and want them in your chapter, why make promises you can't keep? You as an active NEVER know where a PNM is on the bid list unless they're a legacy or you're in charge of recruitment. So why set them up for disappointment?
