good luck to all of you pnm's

by: Good Vibes Only

Just wanted to leave you all with a good message before you start your college journey tomorrow. All of the sororities can't wait for you to move in, start recruitment and become our sisters in a short week. College will be filled a lot of highs and lows, and recruitment will prove that. Above all else go with good faith, confidence and your genuine personalities. I want to chalked you all before you fall asleep tonight to think about what make Mizzou your home away from home and take that reflection with you during recruitment. Make all of your decisions for yourself. Things you'll hear are subjective and often time biased. The only person's opinion who matters in recruitment is yours. So of you feel a connection and if you like it, go for it. If you see the friends you made in your Pi Chi group talk down on a place you loved, ignore it. Give your best at every chapter no matter what. Aside from recruitment you came to Mizzou for school obviously. Study up ladies, (idc if your GPA was 4.2 in high school and you never studied) school isn't easy. Be friendly and open! Tomorrow you will see many new faces and it is 100% fine to introduce yourself and start making friends. Call your parents often and keep them in the loop, it'll help keep them in the loop and missing them easier. Be open minded, you're about to be thrown into an environment where people were raised with different, values and beliefs and that's perfectly okay, you just have to learn to live harmoniously.

Be involved at Mizzou. You all are obviously ahead of the game by choosing to join sororities, but there are tons of more organizations, positions and experience to enhance your time at Mizzou as well. Be kind, it'll take you a long way trust me. Budget your money wisely. You are about to start spending more money on a regular basis than you ever have before, so be prepared, and use it wisely because sometimes life hits ya and you're stuck with $3.50 in your checking until your parents have time to send you more. Learn how to enjoy college single (if you're not already in a relationship) experience school uninhibited and living your school life for yourself is a great feeling to be familiar with. It could be a great idea to wait a month or two before tying yourself down, of course only if you're willing. Support our tigers, Mizzou kids have pride for our athletics and traditions to last an eternity! Good luck again to you all
