by: OOOKKKKKThere are houses that put on a great rush, which is how they get great girls. The rest of the houses put on a pretty good rush, and they get the remainder of who is left. How do you know the great houses from the good houses? Return rates. Return rates say it all. They indicate which houses the majority of PNMs would like to join and keep wanting to go back to. That's how these houses get their pick of girls and how they keep such strong identities year after year. These houses do the choosing, whereas the rest of the houses get girls by default. There are people who will object strenuously to this list and who will insist it's not correct. But it is and it is fairly widely known (at least one person in every house is privy to this list, though they aren't supposed to make it public). And it is the only thing that quantifies the rush process. So which houses are Top 5 in return rates/selectivity? They are: PiPhi, ChiO, TriDelt, Theta, ADPi. So go ahead and object, but that only means that you don't know what you are talking about. And these aren't cast in stone, so next year at this time the list may be different. Many of us who are familiar with these statistics wish every house could be equally popular among PNMs, but that's not how it works. I know you are resentful that this list has been so widely distributed, but perhaps the best thing to do would be to put your energy into having the best rush possible. Plus, keep in mind this is not necessarily a list of the best houses on campus, merely the ones that PNMs want to return to during rush. So there's no need for anger. Facts are facts and perhaps next year there will be five other houses on this list.

Of course this list is correct, but that's besides the point. I think it is unfair to post this now because PNMs should do their judging on this years rush, not last years. Let them make up their own minds.

Actually, they did. Theta was 4th and ADPi was 5th. Besides, why is that surprising? Which other houses would make it into the Top 5? Kappa is too hit or miss, AXO is up and coming but not there yet, GPhi is an acquired taste (you either love them or hate them), and who else is there?

Nothing surprising about this list to me. Those of us who have been on both sides of rush know that these houses really have their act together when it comes to recruitment.

Most will debate adpi, theta and even this past year tri delt. Girls need to go in and evaluate each house on it's own. Obviously most girls won't choose a house with horrible grades and girls that drop out after paying thousands in dues after their first year, but that can really be any house. PNM need to go through recruitment and make choices as well as looking at longevity in a house, if they are looking for something 'long term'

There's way more than just 1 person posting negatively about Adpi right now. Adpi just got called out for bashing Tri delt, Gphi, aphi, Axo just to name a few. Adpi doesn't have a lot of friends right now. But your classic denial is cute, Adpi. Defense mechanisms prove how immature your house is :)
